Loi Duong

Hi everyone! My name is Loi Duong. I am a P2 student currently attending the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy (Phoenix campus). I always wanted to learn and experience pharmacy practices around the world. And I am so excited to travel to Japan this August with my classmates.
Japanese culture has greatly influenced me. Japanese manga and animation were very popular in Asia. I started to read Japanese manga since I was little (don't get me wrong, I do not know Japanese, but many manga series were translated to other languages). When IPSF offered the opportunity to study abroad in Japan, I did not hesitate to participate. It will be an awesome experience when I can visit the country and learn about its pharmacy practice. I can't wait to see my penpals, attend lectures, learn about herbal pharmacy and make new friends.
Japan is well-known by its politeness and formality. Besides the excitement, I also concern about how to get to familiar to their basic cultural and social norms so that I do not violate them, especially when we will be attending lectures with our Japanese cohort.

I am looking forward to seeing you all there!
